Shelby Nold has been in the outdoor industry for 8 years working as a professional fly-fishing guide and outfitter.  He is the head guide for Alaska Quest guiding on remote wilderness rivers in Alaska, where he spends 2 – 3 months in the Alaska Wilderness. He also guides fly-fishing & backpacking excursions in Missouri, Colorado, and Montana as well as guiding turkey and whitetail hunts in Missouri for Majestic Outdoor Adventures, Inc. (MOA).

Shelby Nold has guided in the Ozark Mountains for 8 years now. He has had the privilege of fishing the rivers and streams of the Ozarks for more than 12 years. He is proficient in guiding on each of the Ozark  Rivers.  He is not only an experienced fly fishing guide but also a long time fly tier. Because of his understanding of these areas he is extremely knowledgeable about the entomology on these rivers and streams.  This makes his fly tying more valuable.

His passion for wild trout increased his awareness of the need for conservation of all trout species.  Shelby's desire for trout conservation has took him to streams, rivers, and lakes in Colorado, Montana, Tennessee, Missouri and Arkansas. The Ozark Mountains provide superior trout fishing and an environment for conservation.

Shelby is also Majestic Outdoor Adventures head hunting guide.  He is an experienced deer, turkey, and small game hunter.  He has been hunting and fishing for over 25 years.  Whether you are a traditional archer, compound archer, or a black powder enthusiast Shelby has done it.  He can relate to each form of hunting and the precision that is involved in each.

"I was happy as could be on the river with my guide and new friend Shelby.  He skillfully and comfortably maneuvered his drift boat to put me in the right places to hook onto about 35 fish and end up netting at least 20 nice rainbow and browns, some reaching 15 inches." - Tom

"Thanks so much for taking your time to be with us on the river.  The trip would not be what it is without you.  Thanks also for coaching and teaching us.  You're a great cook & your kind and gentile ways will take you far in life making memories for others." - Dave & Judy
